Damn I've really not been feeling the LJ vibe for a while so I am really sorry for not keeping this comm up to date. Though I think a lot of people get their Strokes news from other sites like Twitter and Tumblr I still love LJ and will promise to do better in the future!

Just thought I let you guys know about the situation in regards to the Hard To Explain Forum. It has been down since the weekend as the domain accidentally expired, the admins are hoping to have it up again soon with a new name and I will post the link here

Things are a bit quiet in Strokesland right now though until the South American dates kick off in a couple of weeks. Still waiting on the full length version of Julian's Debical Advert song. Also doesn't look like they will be touring much after that as they want to go in the studio and work on the fifth record which sucks for those who didn't get to see them live this year but also means a new album sooner rather than later and frankly I don't think any of us could cope with another 5 year wait.

I've written my own thoughts on the record here, but basically after 4 days of intense listening I'm so happy by the record though I know the direction the band have gone in won't appeal to everyone.
